Spencer P. Jones was a New Zealand-born guitarist, singer and songwriter whose work became central to Australian cowpunk, pub rock and underground rock. He fronted The Johnnys , co-founded Beasts of Bourbon and built a substantial catalogue under his own name.
His solo records moved between raw rock and roll, country-inflected songwriting and the changing ensembles known as the Last Gasp, Cow Penalty and the Escape Committee.
