Joe Algeri formed Jack and the Beanstalk in Perth, turning sharp guitar pop and garage influences into a run of Australian and European releases.
A changing rhythm section
Joe Algeri began the group with bassist Shane Bender and drummer Rick Pomponio. Gerry McAvoy and Anthony Spinelli joined by the first album; the later line-up added Kevin Borruso and Stuart Loasby.
