ME 262 combined late-1970s Sydney punk with the harder rock sound suggested by the Blue Öyster Cult song from which the group took its name.
ME 262 to Trans 262
Mark Roxburgh, Tony Gibson, Andy Newman and Ally Marr recorded demos as ME 262 before adopting the name Trans 262 for their self-released four-track EP.
The recordings recovered
The original demos, flexi-disc tracks and Trans 262 EP were assembled on Sydney 1979–1982.
