Sunnyboys built their sound around Jeremy Oxley's songs and the original quartet's fast, melodic interplay.
The original quartet
Brothers Jeremy and Peter Oxley formed Sunnyboys with drummer Bil Bilson and guitarist Richard Burgman. Their first EP and two albums, produced by Lobby Loyde, quickly established the group on the national circuit.
Later line-ups and final reunion
After the original band separated in 1984, Jeremy Oxley led a later Sunnyboys line-up for Wildcat. The founding quartet reunited from 2012, released the archival and newly recorded collection 40, and played its final shows in 2023.
