From garage punk to psychedelic guitar rock

The Bo-Weevils began with a raw 1960s garage attack and expanded into psychedelic pop and roots-inflected guitar rock.

Kavern 7 period

Steve Anderson, Ian Hill, Mark Jenkinson and Neil Rogers formed the first line-up. The Lies and The Vortex Took Them EPs document the group’s early garage-punk sound.

A wider palette

Nino Spadaro and Davern White replaced Anderson and Hill in 1987. Where Particular People Congregate and Destroyer of Worlds stretched the band’s sound toward psychedelic pop and contemporary roots rock.

Later records

The live album If God Was an Astronaut and the studio records Reap and Burn preceded the group’s late-1990s compilations and farewell tour. The band reunited for a 2015 show celebrating Burn.
