Perth punk histories in a new Sydney band
The Dubrovniks brought together James Baker, Rod Radalj, Boris Sujdovic and Peter Simpson, drawing several strands of the Perth and Sydney underground into direct rock'n'roll.
The Adorable Ones become The Dubrovniks
Formed as The Adorable Ones in 1986, the group adopted its lasting name in recognition of the Croatian birthplace of Rod Radalj and Boris Sujdovic. Their first Citadel single, Fireball of Love, was produced by Rob Younger
.
Four albums and a return
The line-up changed after Dubrovnik Blues, but the group continued through Audio Sonic Love Affair, Chrome and Medicine Wheel. The Dubrovniks reconvened for international shows from 2015.
